Welcome to our Icon Files
Page, plus some sound files.
Here you will find Icon files in .bmp format and Sound files in .wav format,
these can be downloaded and used with various navigation systems.
Please note:
We do not give information on how to install the .bmp files (icons) or .wav
files (sounds) for any system, you will need to read your instructions for
your own GPS navigation sytem/software to find out if/how you can use or
add new poi's and there associated icons and sounds.
Always BACKUP your original icons and sounds before using new ones, as a
general rule the icon or sound files need to have the same name as the poi
file you wish to have it associated with.
e.g. your poi file is called:
"my_favourite_places.xxx" (without the quotes, the .xxx extension will alter
with different systems).
then the icon would have the name:
"my_favourite_places.bmp" (without the quotes).
and the sound file could also have the name:
"my_favourite_places.wav" (without the quotes).
To download an Icon or Sound file:
place your cursor over the required Icon or Sound file and RIGHT click, then
select either:
Save Picture As... (or) Save Target As...
you can then choose the folder of your choice and SAVE the Icon or Sound
file to that folder.
You may be able to play the sound file by just clicking it, try before you
download it!
