Welcome to our POI-Warner Configuration Page.

You can Download a copy of this page below to save you having to view it on line.

Here we will show you how to set-up the different options that are available on the different menus.
We will not keep telling you to TAP on the screen to do various tasks, but will accept this as the normal option unless stated otherwise.

So lets start, we believe at this stage nothing should go wrong, but we should not take that for
granted, so first we need to place our Aldi Medion MD95000 into its cradle and connect to our main
PC via ActiveSync and do a FULL BACKUP before we go any further.

On the ActiveSync menu go to Tools and select Backup/Restore, make sure you choose Full backup
from the options available, then click Back Up Now, this will only take a couple of minutes.

Lets open the POI-Warner application now we have done the backup:

On your Pocket PC - Start - Programs - POI-Warner (Medion-Navigator 4)

The POI-Warner main menu.
Select File - Options to bring up
the screen as shown to the right

General Options menu, for the Uk select mph under Measure, all other settings are what we use, but use what suits you best. Select OK when done.

Next select:
POI-Manager - POI-Settings - Overlay Settings..   the screen BELOW LEFT

On this screen you can select each type of overlay you want to see displayed when using your
navigation system, and configure each  individually - see ABOVE RIGHT - select each one then
choose the settings as desired in the POI-TEXT/Icon on map area - OK when done

Next select:
POI-Manager - POI-Settings - Acoustic alert..   the screen BELOW LEFT

On this screen you can select each type of POI: (from the dropdown menu) - AS ABOVE - then
configure all the different tabs for each type selected as SHOWN BELOW

Select the sound file as shown
ABOVE for:

First Warning

Last Warning

Speed Limit

for the pocketgps_uk_gatso

then go back to the General tab
and select each camera type
and repeat the above, but configuring it to suit your needs.
e.g. On the First Warning you can use the gatso.wav file, then
use the speed.wav for the Last
Warning and so on.

By using different sound files as shown above, you could get the First Warning to say:
(use a_gatso.wav) Warning gatso camera ahead
then for the Last Warning to say:
(use a_speed.wav) Check speed
then again for Speed Limit to say:
(use a_speed.wav) Check speed

Note:

you can select or remove items that you do not require by selecting them on the screens as BELOW

There are lots of different ways to set up the different tabs, but we hope that this has given you the
information on how to do it.
